He has been participating in several chess tournaments - Ranipet District Level Children's Chess Tournament under age group of U-13 and scored 3 points out of 4 and secured Second place and First in Vellore Open Rapid FIDE Rating Chess Tournament under age group of U-14, he played ninerounds and scored 4.5 points. In the Tamil Nadu State Chess Championship- 2022 under age group of U-14, he scored 2 points from 4 rounds and Eleventh place.
  • Lakshminathan.S of Grade 8C participated in Ranipet District Traditional Belt Wrestling Championship 2021 in the above 65 kg category and secured First place. He qualified for the state championship and also participated in 4th Tamil Nadu State Level Belt Wrestling Championship 2021 in the above 65kg category and secured 2nd place.

He was also nominated for the National Young Leaders Award.

  • Bharadwaj Murari .H, Himnesh vel S and Mohanasundaram .A participated in the Asteroid Search Campaign hosted by International Asteroid Search Collaboration(IASC) and for becoming a NASA citizen scientist. The campaign was for a month and it ended on 22nd April 2022.These students have got training certificate from Smartcircuits Innovation.

  • R.Krishmitha of 3B participated in 17th AISF National silambam championship and won Silver under 10 category.
  • M.Krithik of 7A participated in 17th Tamil Nadu state silambam championship and won Gold in strick fight under 14, won Bronze in single sword rotation under 14 category.

2019-20

SPORTS AND GAMES

Balsam pays utmost attention to the field of sports. We have qualified Sports team which offers the very best training to our students. Students were trained and participated in the Fit India Movement. The athletes were prepared for several competitions that took place at the Cluster, State and National level. The achievements are as follows:

  • S. Janavi was placed first in the 600 mts and was awarded with gold medal in the SSPF District Sports Meet. She was also selected for the state level and placed 6th in the Competitions held at Trichy.
  • S. Suriya Prasanna was placed 5th in the State level CBSE Cluster Meet Long Jump.
  • H. Azeeza has participated in the Vellore District Meet Javelin Throw and CBSE Cluster Sports Meet at Coimbatore and obtained Silver Medal. She was selected for National level meet held at Chhattisgarh and was placed 7th.
  • C. Mugilan has participated in the Chennai, Erode and Coimbatore CBSE cluster sports meets and won Gold medal. He was placed 10th in the National level meet held at Chhattisgarh.
  • Y. Hemavarshini has participated in Vellore District Sports Meet and was placed 1st in under 12 long jump event.
  • D. Shree Sahanaa has participated in Vellore District Meet. She was placed 2nd in under 12 shotput and 3rd in under 12 long jump events.
  • A.S. Prasanna has participated in Vellore District Meet and secured 1st place in shotput event.
  • H. Bharadwaj Murari has participated in Vellore District Meet and secured 2nd place in shotput event.
  • S. Janavi has participated in Vellore District Meet. She was placed 1st in under 14 long jump and 3rd in under 14 600 m running event.
  • V. Shri Sanjay Kumar has participated in Vellore District Sports Meet and was placed 3rd in under 14 shotput event.
  • S. Manjari has participated in 20th National Speed Skating Championship conducted in Nagpur, Maharashtra. She won 2nd place in both 500 m & 1000 m.
  • J. Jane Patricia has participated in 20th National Speed Skating Championship conducted in Nagpur, Maharashtra. She won 3rd place in both 500 m & 1000 m.
  • Krisha M, Sushil S, Srikanth M, Anushiya A, Diyasri T K, and Jyotsna S participated and won 1st place in 4th district Yogasana championship 2019- 2020 held at Shri Sitheeswara Polytechnic college, Arcot.

ART:

Our students took part in various National and District level art Competitions and brought laudable laurels to the school.

  • Six students participated in Indian council for child welfare art competition conducted on 19th July 2019. Among them Moniesh V.S of grade 3'C' won 2nd prize.
  • 20 students participated in the District level Art Competition conducted by Tamil Nadu Forest Department and Niranjana of grade 8 A won the 1st prize.
  • 15 students participated in the Petroleum Conservation Research Association competition on 20th September and A. Niranjana of Grade 8 A got selected for national level which is held at Delhi on 20th September and received the prize for top 100 category at the National level.
  • 15 students took part in the National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation and Niranjana of Grade 8 A got selected and received 2000 cash award.
  • 5 students participated in the District Level Art Competition conducted by the Department of Art and culture, Tamil Nadu.
  • Moksha of Grade 7C won 1st prize and A. Niranjana of Grade 8A won the 2nd prize.
  • Thamizhselvan of Grade 9A has taken part in the District level Art competition held on 23rd and selected for the State level and he is awaiting the results.
  • Moksha. A of Grade 7C took part in the Government of Tamil Nadu State Level Painting competition on 5th January organised by Art and culture department. She was awarded with Rs.5000/- cash prize.
  • Dhiya D and Vaishnavi V S won first prize in Singing competition organized by Department of Art and Culture, Tamil Nadu.

CBSE REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR
