Closing Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,

As we draw close to the end of the school year, we are so thankful for the hard work, determination and resilience that the parents, students and staff have shown this year despite it being an exceptionally challenging one. We have made significant compromises in the ways in which we have functioned and lived our lives to provide the best educational and personal support for all our students and families. The messages of support and positive feedback that we have given to each other is highly valued.
Below are some of the key achievements of this year, however there are many more. Do read the school newsletters published on the school website //balsamacademy.org/news/

  1. Parent involvement and volunteering to support teaching learning process.
  2. Successful workshop ‘Education For Tomorrow’ to educate new parents about the developmental stages of a child.
  3. Strategic 45-day plan to enhance basic skills across all subjects to scaffold learning gaps.
  4. Setting of class rhythm to align with concepts taught for engaged learning.
  5. Student involvement and empowerment through school clubs, student led assemblies, SEWA projects, various competitions, both scholastic and co-scholastic areas.

The School Core Committee is working diligently to provide services to ensure that children have opportunities to accelerate learning. Listed are a few aspects that we are working on.

  1. Waldorf Inspired Teacher Training (WITT) for parents and teachers handling K-G5.
  2. Collective team meetings to plan, prepare and implement NEP, NIPUN and SAFAL, 21st century skills, Foundation literacy and numerical skills, Whole School Improvement Plan, School Calendar, Timetable, School timings, etc.
  3. Collaboration with XSEED (G1 to G8) to transform education in alignment with the National Education Policy.

We have tabled key information and dates for all stakeholders to note.

  1. No change in school uniform.
  2. Change in Learning Materials for K-G8. Reduced number of notebooks.
  3. The Fee Structure has been ratified by the School Management Committee and there is a nominal hike made.
  4. The School timing is likely to change considering the wellbeing of all students and staff.
