Holiday Assignment G3&4

Dear Parents of Grades 3 & 4,

Life needs to be balanced between fun and work. A short break gives a chance for children and parents to relax. During holidays, leisure replaces work as a priority. You are filled with the enthusiasm to explore, travel and learn. Besides relaxing, the children should keep in mind, the execution of the assigned work in a well-planned manner. Motivate them to interact with knowledgeable books that would in turn lead their minds to grow exclusively and in an effective manner.

The last working day for classes K-G5 will be 21.12.18 (Friday) and vacation holidays are from 22.12.2018 to 01.01.2019.The school will re-open on 02.01.2019 (Wednesday).

Please find the suggested activities in this circular which will also be available on the school ERP to engage our children during the vacation.

Holiday assignments will be evaluated and considered as internal assessment so, parents are requested to encourage children to complete it and submit on 02.01.2019. 

English: Choose a topic such as sport, a piece of furniture, or a television show. Write ten simple sentences (about the selected topic) on separate slips of one colour. Place these in a container. On slips of another colour write ten conjunctions (such as but, or, and, yet). Know that they use the same conjunction multiple times and place these in another container. Ask your family to pick two sentence slips and one conjunction slip. Ask each person to read his/her sentence. Discuss which sentence makes sense and which ones are just funny and silly).

Tamil:Collect pictures of places in India having snowfall in winter. Make a descriptive writing.

Hindi:Prepare flash cards of food, dresses, things, appliances man uses.

Math:Ask your parents to share the contact numbers of friends and relatives. Note them down and insert commas as per the periods and their number names.

Science: Complete the activity given by the Science teacher.

Social:Locate all the states of India on the political map of India.Know the languages people speak in each of the states.
