Dear parents of grade 9 & 10,

We are presenting May Learning Challenges (MLC) for our children studying in Grades 9 & 10. This is a step taken to engage our students meaningfully and acquire continuity. Encourage them to take it up with sincerity and perseverance. Let them start their day as they would start when schools function. Seeing this daily routine is very important. Give them the choice to pick the tasks and schedule.

Challenges and expected outcomes:

  1. Subject wise assignments comprising of links to listen, watch, learn and practice.
  2. Activities for fun and meaningful learning.
  3. Projects to be considered as Multiple assessment or Subject Enrichment activity.
  4. Worksheets to understand and enable you to measure the progress of your learning.
  5. Notes for you to reinforce the concepts taught recently.

Note: Stay Focused

  1. Start the day fresh. Don’t skip breakfast. …
  2. Get organized. Whether your school materials are online or offline, keep them organized. …
  3. Find a comfortable study area. …
  4. Avoid Distractions. …
  5. Set a Schedule. …
  6. Have a plan. …
  7. Take a Break. …
  8. Use offline tool. …
  9. Reward yourself. …

Small actions can have large ripple effects when our environment is shifting rapidly. Let’s move away from the fear of the unknown and towards empathy. When our sense of empathy outweighs our sense of fear, we become more of who we hope to be for ourselves, for our families and for the others in the world.

Let’s experience and live in the world in new ways, including how we approach uncertainty in our own lives. Stay home, stay safe, stay engaged.

Special thanks to all.

Regards,

Team Balsam
